If you’re quick, you might still catch a re-run of Hugh Laurie reading Jerome K Jerome’s Three Men on the Bummel on BBC Radio 7. Classic period bicycling chuckles…
BTW…found the stirrup clips for “The Sun”. :c)

I neglected to mention it earlier, but you may still be able to pick up the podcast versions of the BBC World Service’s three part series from January on the role of the bicycle in various parts of the world, The Bicycle Diaries.
Aren’t you glad the BBC is still the world’s premier public service broadcaster?
Enjoy…

Seems that BBC Radio 4 are featuring a work by a fellow slow bicyclist as their Book at Bedtime this week.
I believe that even if you’re a Johnny Foreigner you can still benefit from the largesse of us BBC license payers and listen to it using the very computer at which you’re sitting.
I’ve not read the book yet but I thoroughly enjoy her blogging. I’m looking forward to it!

The Fall and Rise of the Bicycle is a BBC Radio 4 series from July 2006, still available via that miracle of science that is t’Internet. Just click on the “Listen again…” link near the foot of the linked page for the streaming audio. (Requires Realplayer or Mplayer or similar). The programmes make for very worthwhile listening…and the reporter, Mark Stephen, is yet another cycling Scotsman so what’s not to like?!
Episode 1: Africa, the Power of Two Wheels
Episode 2: Europe: The Once and Future King of the Road
Episode 3: China: Rejecting the Bicycle
